Cocktails and the beach — for many travelers, these two elements go hand in hand when it comes to creating the perfect beach vacation. Even properties that aren’t all-inclusive can still provide guests with a range of free, value-added drink deals. Here are a few hotels that include refreshing liquor options in Los Cabos.

The Cape
Guests at this upscale Los Cabos boutique hotel can explore creative drink offerings at no extra charge by attending free cocktail and spirit tastings hosted by The Cape’s bartender, Osvaldo Vazquez. The drink theme and featured beverages rotate each week. Recent programs have included an “exploration of agave” that paired agave beverages with tasty Mexican cuisine.

Esperanza, An Auberge Resort
This stylish property, located in Cabo San Lucas, doesn’t offer an all-inclusive program. But fear not: It’s still very easy for guests to enjoy a free cocktail or two. The Cabo Green Margarita is Esperanza’s preferred welcome cocktail, while lime margaritas await in each guestroom.

Hacienda Encantada
This hotel serves its own special brand of mezcal — the appropriately named Hacienda Encantada Mezcal — as part of its all-inclusive program. Bottled in Oaxaca, the spirit is also available for purchase as a take-home souvenir. Hacienda Encantada also offers a Hacienda Dine Out Privileges Plan, which provides all-inclusive benefits at a variety of restaurants, complete with drinks and free shuttle service.

Hilton Los Cabos
This Cabo San Lucas property isn’t all-inclusive, but guests are treated with a free welcome cocktail as a mouthwatering perk — specifically, a pomegranate margarita, made with La Pinta Pomegranate Tequila Liqueur, lemon juice and syrup.

Marquis Los Cabos
This all-inclusive resort includes alcoholic beverages in categories that the property calls “mid-level to top shelf,” with well-known brands including Hennessy Courvoisier and Absolut vodka. Don’t miss Marquis’ specialty drinks, such as the custom-made California Margarita and Clase Azul Tequila, which is also offered during the hotel’s free tequila tasting class held every week.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort
With this resort’s all-inclusive options, guests can also enjoy the bars and restaurants at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort, Pueblo Bonito Rose Resort & Spa and Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos — that adds up to 16 different bars where vacationers can sample an extensive array of refreshments. Plus, the free shuttle service between all properties makes it even easier to hit them all.

Alcoholic beverages include domestic cocktails and house wine; rum brands including Appleton, Bacardi and Captain Morgan; and multiple brands of tequila. Cutty Sark, Jack Daniels and Jim Beam are among the whisky offerings, while Absolut, Smirnoff and Stolichnaya are some of the best-known names in the vodka lineup.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas and Riu Santa Fe
These two all-inclusive Los Cabos hotels offer identical menus when it comes to drinks. Look forward to a free welcome drink, a well-stocked minibar in each guestroom, 24-hour cocktails and premium brands such as Tequila Don Julio, Chivas Regal and Absolut.

The optional all-inclusive package at this Los Cabos hotel includes domestic and international drinks by the glass during operational hours of its various bars. Wine by the bottle, as well as premium and deluxe beverage brands, are available for an extra fee.
