How Minor Hotels Continues to Grow

Jun 30, 2017

With 154 hotels and resorts in 24 countries, Minor Hotels is continuing to expand with new properties and plans to grow its portfolio to 252 hotels by 2021.

“At Minor Hotels, we will continue to focus on growing markets, infrastructure and opportunities and going where guests want to go,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels.

Anantara, Minor Hotel’s luxury brand, will open new resorts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Tanzania, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. This comes after recent Anantara openings in Oman, Sri Lanka, China and Portugal, and a reopening in Cambodia.

Additionally, the group’s four-star hotel brand, Avani, recently arrived in Europe and the Middle East with the openings of Avani Avenida Liberdade Hotel in Portugal and Avani Deira Dubai Hotel in Dubai, UAE. It has also announced the acquisition of the Metro Suites business in Auckland, New Zealand, where the newly rebranded Metropolis Avani Residences is set to open in October. Additional Avani properties are set to open in the Middle East, Australia and South Korea within the next two years.
