A recent study conducted by luxury car rental company Renty has uncovered the most in-demand destinations for luxury vacations among U.S. consumers.

The study analyzed monthly search volume data in the U.S. over the past 12 months for various luxury travel destinations around the world.

According to the data gathered, Costa Rica topped the list as the most in-demand destination, with an average monthly search volume of 34,248. Some of the highest search volumes came from California, Florida and Texas.

Hawaii came in second place, with an average monthly search volume of 32,278. The study found that Hawaii was the most searched luxury vacation location in 20 states, with high search volumes from Washington and Ohio.

Bali ranked third, with an average monthly search volume of 27,331 in the U.S. The luxury island was the most searched destination in Texas, Illinois and Georgia.

It’s clear that the U.S. dreams more about sunshine, beaches and bubbling cities than white powdered slopes and other wintery experiences.

“The top ranking highlights a variety of stunning vacation spots in all corners of the globe,” said Yevhen Parokhod, co-founder of Renty. “However, it’s clear that the U.S. dreams more about sunshine, beaches and bubbling cities than white powdered slopes and other wintery experiences, given that many tropical destinations like Bali and Hawaii have made the ranking.”

Other destinations that made the top 10 list include the Maldives, Thailand, New York, Paris, Dubai, Los Angeles and Fiji. The Maldives placed fourth with an average monthly search volume of 22,758, while Thailand came in fifth with 21,857 average monthly searches.
