Paris is considered to be one of the most romantic cities in the world. Every year, millions of couples plan romantic getaways to the French capital to take in its sites, restaurants and overall romantic allure. Therefore, choosing the right hotel for Paris-bound clients is a key factor in organizing the perfect romantic trip.

From sumptuous mansions to cozy love nests, these exquisite hotels will help ensure the ultimate romantic stay in Paris.

Hotel de Jobo

Hidden within the tiny streets of the Marais district is this romantic ode to Empress Josephine Bonaparte, also known as “JoBo.” The first wife of Napoleon I and a turn-of-the-19th-century trendsetter, JoBo and her spirit are revived in the sensual decor of this four-star boutique hotel.

Enveloped in Toile de Jouy, leopard or floral prints, its 24 rooms also have First Empire furniture, gilded mirrors and vintage-style lighting. Visitors can admire Josephine’s portrait over a drink in the attractive bar before heading out exploring the historic district.

Hotel Montalembert

Located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood and surrounded by historic cafes, posh boutiques and antique shops, this chic five-star boutique hotel is the ideal base for a romantic stay on the city’s Left Bank.

The nearly 100-year-old Haussmannian-style stone building beautifully marries quintessential Parisian classicism with modern design. Throughout the hotel are contemporary design elements, such as precious woods, aged brass, leather seats, Carrara marble and silk curtains by the Maison  Pierre Frey and Hermes. The fireplace lounge is particularly inviting, and the gourmet restaurant serves refined contemporary French cuisine.

Cozy cocoons, the guestrooms reach their pinnacle with the Eiffel Tower Suite, spread out over 430 square feet and featuring a magical vista of the Left Bank and the city’s most famous landmark.

Hotel Providence

Occupying a mid-1800s townhouse in the trendy 10th arrondissement (in between the Upper Marais and the St. Martin Canal ) Hotel Providence is one of Paris’s most beautiful boutique hotels.

A great option for travelers wanting to explore like a local, the hotel is popular with Parisians who frequent its bar, fireplace lounge and restaurant. The hotel’s decor, with touches of contemporary flair, harks back to the building’s 19th-century origins. Its 18 rooms combine antiques and plush furniture with leafy wallpaper and modern touches, such as iMac computers, iPhone docks and custom designed fully stocked cocktail bars. This sophisticated new-meets-old ambiance culminates in the hotel’s penthouse suite, which has a turntable, a selection of LPs, a large bathroom with a clawfoot tub and views over the rooftops of Paris toward Montmartre.

Le Pavillon de la Reine

Nestled within a vine-ladened courtyard off the majestic Place des Vosges, Le Pavillon de la Reine, or the Queen’s Pavilion, is the ideal setting for a royally romantic stay in Paris.

Named in honor of Queen Anne of Austria, who once stayed in the 17th-century building, the family-run, five-star hotel has both a regal and an intimate feel. The 56 guestrooms' high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and Versailles parquet flooring are juxtaposed by chic modern furniture, stylized floral wallpaper and handcrafted chandeliers. Suites may have separate sitting areas, walk-in closets, and marble bathrooms with underfloor heating and bathtubs.

Stepping outside this tranquil oasis, guests are walking distance from the numerous museums, art galleries and fashionable boutiques of the Marais district. For an extra romantic stay, book the Romantic Break package, which includes Champagne, macarons and an hour treatment for two in the Spa de la Reine by Codage.

La Reserve Hotel and Spa Paris

Situated within an early 20th-century mansion near the Champs-Elysees, this glamorous luxury hotel is perfect for an indulgent splurge. A vision of interior designer Jacques Garcia, the hotel will make clients feel as if they’re a guest in a private aristocratic home.

A revisited classical decor, complete with black and gold lacquered woodwork, marble busts, working fireplaces and burgundy velour, creates an effortlessly chic look throughout the common spaces and spacious guestrooms. A highlight are the hotel’s many suites, one more extravagant than the next, ranging in size from 540 to 1,830 square feet and boasting private terraces, large sitting rooms, dining rooms or views of the Eiffel Tower.

Maison Souquet

Since opening in 2016 on a quiet side street near the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre, this seductive five-star hotel has consistently received the Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor for the most romantic hotel in France. Briefly a “house of pleasure” run by a certain Madame Souquet in the early 20th century, the building was transformed by Jacques Garcia into a modern take on a lavish boudoir of the Belle Epoque era.

The tone is immediately set upon entering the hotel’s ground-floor common areas, home to an Arabian-inspired lounge, a swanky library-bar and winsome winter garden. The hotel’s 20 rooms bear the name of a historic courtesan and are uniquely decorated with antiques, sensual paintings, exquisite fabrics and coy heart-shape light fixtures. Guests’ romantic stays can be augmented with one of their special packages, which include the likes of late check-out and private access to the spa with a pool, a steam room and a treatment room.

Paris J'Adore Hotel & Spa

Opened in mid-2021, this stylish boutique hotel and spa,  on the edge of the hip Batignolles neighborhood and close to Parc Monceau, has been specifically designed for couples. Every detail has been carefully chosen, from the hand-blown glass lighting to the meticulously crafted furniture. Guests can grab a drink or meal in the airy, ground-floor restaurant with a terrace overlooking a vertical garden and cascading fountain.

The eight categories of rooms, with names such as “Passion” and “Boudoir,” evoke a different ambiance, thanks to playful swings, double Jacuzzi tubs, mood lighting and the latest smart technology. (The “Bain de Minuit” room has a private terrace with an outdoor Jacuzzi.) And all guests have access to the hotel’s luxurious spa with an 36-foot-long pool, a salt cave, a steam room, Sensory Sky showers and more.
