First Look: Royal Caribbean Will Open Bahamas Beach Club in 2025

Royal Caribbean International is developing a new destination experience on Paradise Island in Nassau, the Bahamas. The Royal Beach Club at Paradise Island is scheduled to open to guests in 2025 following recent approval from the local government.

Under the public-private partnership, Bahamians will be able to own up to 49% equity in the club, with local businesses and entrepreneurs having the chance to manage most of the experience. Altogether, hundreds of jobs will be created from both its construction and operation.

"The Bahamas has been a phenomenal partner since the very start, when they became our first port of call more than 50 years ago,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “As we continue to bring millions of visitors to experience attractions throughout Nassau each year, The Royal Beach Club at Paradise Island is the next bold adventure in Royal Caribbean’s commitment to both increasing tourism in the Bahamas and delivering memorable vacations to our guests.”

Features guests can expect at The Royal Beach Club will include private cabanas and swimming pools, as well as regional highlights such as local architecture and Bahamian barbecues, artisans and live music.

The port will be comprised of 17 acres of pristine beaches combined with Royal Caribbean’s signature experiences. Thirteen acres of the land will be owned by the cruise line, and four will be considered “Crown Land,” as equity in the venture for returned profits to the Bahamian government and its people, in what the line calls “a first-of-its-kind agreement in the Bahamas.” This combined with a new tourism levy will reinvest in the regional community.

The Royal Beach Club at Paradise Island will be further detailed soon.
