The Travel Institute recently announced its Q2 2025 Pep Talks education series, a lineup of complimentary learning events led by industry experts from the organization’s Professional Educator’s Program.

Running through April, May and June, Pep Talks events are designed to provide valuable and timely insights to travel professionals at all levels of their careers. The talks are held live online and recorded for later access. With nearly 70 participating Pep Talks educators from both inside and outside the travel industry, the series aims to cover a wide range of topics that help advisors adapt to the rapidly changing industry and build a successful and sustainable business.

“There is absolutely something for every agent at every level on our knowledge-packed Q2 Pep Talks calendar,” said Carla Smith, director of membership for The Travel Institute.

The Q2 topics range from risk management tips to client communication and business expansion strategies. Doug Haugen, senior matchmaker, and Bob Sweeney, president of Innovative Travel Acquisitions, Inc., will discuss the state of travel agency acquisitions, with tips for both buyers and sellers. Attorney Chun T. Wright will cover legal strategies to protect travel professionals while Stacey Cabell, founder of Starstuff Travel, will explain how stepping out of one’s comfort zone can lead to business growth. Other sessions include onboarding strategies for new hires, leveraging Amtrak travel packages and understanding personality styles for better teamwork.

“Agents who take the time and effort to attend Pep Talks clearly have ‘skin in the game’ and are serious about building their businesses,” said Mike Marchev, a long-time member of The Travel Institute’s Professional Educator’s Program. “As a life-long learner, I take great pleasure in sharing my expertise with eager and proactive travel entrepreneurs.”

Thousands of travel professionals attend these free sessions every year. Certified graduates can also earn two continuing education units for attendance toward their annual certification renewal.
